Environmental Storage Testing

These tests are for items (individual packages or pallet-loads) which will be stored in environmental conditions (hot, cold, tropic or desert) without any pre-shipment tests conducted afterwards but may include measurements, weights or other forms of documentation of test findings.

Typical industry Used Environmental Conditions are as follows:

Frozen or winter ambient: -20°F (-29°C), Uncontrolled Relative Humidity
Refrigerated Packages: 40°F (5°C), 85 +/- 5% Relative Humidity
Controlled Temperature: 72°F (23°C), 85 +/- 5% Relative Humidity
Tropical (Wet) Climate: 100°F (38°C), 85 +/- 5% Relative Humidity
Tropical (Wet) then Desert (Dry): 100°F (38°C), 85 +/- 5% Relative Humidity then
  140°F (60°C), 30 +/- 5% Relative Humidity
Desert or Summer Ambient: 120°F (50°C), Uncontrolled Relative Humidity

User Defined Temperature and Humidity: Customer chooses Temperature and Humidity based upon known conditions from field measurements or other existing data.

Most often packages/pallet-loads are left in the environmental chamber for 72 hours when used as part of a pre-shipment test, but we can also store your product/pallet-loads long term as well.
